Project Overview
Connect West Business Park is a 30ha mixed industrial estate in Darra, strategically located near major transport infrastructure, including the Ipswich Motorway and Centenary Motorway. In April 2022, Development Approval was granted for a speculative warehouse building, designed to offer maximum flexibility for future tenants. The approval provides land use rights for Low Impact Industry, Medium Impact Industry, and Warehouse.
Project Objectives
The project had several successful elements, including environmental initiatives such as a 5-star green star design, solar systems for each tenancy, and water-efficient fittings. Additionally, collaboration with the project team and Council streamlined the approval period of the Impact Assessable application, resulting in approval being granted within three months of lodgment without any Information Request being issued.
Leading Change
We demonstrated our ‘Value Mindset’ by liaising with the Council to facilitate reasonable and relevant conditions of approval. This collaboration ensured that the project not only met regulatory requirements but also added value through innovative solutions and effective communication with stakeholders.
