Project Overview
The $185 million Yeronga Priority Development Area (PDA), known as Parkside Yeronga, is a 3.1-hectare urban renewal project delivering approximately 300 homes, including retirement apartments, townhomes, and social housing, alongside community facilities and open spaces. This collaboration between public and private sectors revitalises underutilised state land, significantly boosting both housing supply and diversity of supply in well-located inner-city areas.
Therefor Group provided critical development compliance, surveying, and town planning expertise for the $185 million Yeronga Priority Development Area, transforming the former TAFE site into a vibrant mixed-use urban village.
Our team ensured seamless integration across design, construction transition, compliance management, and delivery, aligning the project with Economic Development Queensland’s objectives while addressing local housing needs.
By delivering precise surveying, streamlined approvals management, and post-construction compliance services, Therefor Group facilitated the successful delivery of 281 homes, community spaces, and public amenities. This whole-of-lifecycle approach to the master-planned subdivision enabled smooth delivery and transition into successive built-form developments across the resulting lots.
Project Outcomes
Collaborative construction and compliance management interactions were a key project focus. Therefor Group’s approach allowed for synergies in the process; resulting in transparent engagement, seamless troubleshooting, and fast issues resolution.
Therefor was responsible for navigating the many complexities associated with transitioning government owned assets. Clear, concise collaboration and communication within and between consultant groups ensured the relevant officers had all the correct and accurate material to make decisions about the works being accepted as public assets.
An optimised and efficient approval and compliance management and risk mitigation framework that saved time and resources was applied by Therefor, which reduced delays where design variations had the ability to derail compliance outcomes and project timeframes.
Leading Change
Therefor’s whole-of-lifecycle approach and strong stakeholder collaboration ensured the project’s overall success, adding both financial value and community benefits.
The development outcome represented Therefor Group’s values of people, collaboration, value mindset, and leadership, emphasising our dedication to delivering highly effective master planned development solutions that lay the foundations and act as a catalyst to guide successive built form outcomes and lead change.
